The Pecari

The pecaríes are original piglets of Mexico of medium size and that live by night. They are in the habit of living in flocks of more than 100 Pecaríes and the pecaríes of necklace and the pecaríes orejudos (of another species) are in the habit of forming smaller families.
As all the porks, they are omnivorous though they prefer the vegetables and the roots, but they were not despising insects or small reptiles as the serpents and even they risk with one that another mouse.
These piglets possess odoriferous glands in the loin and under his eyes which use to mark other members of his flock rubbing some against others and to mark his territories that are really big, about 35 to 350 hectares!
It is possible to differentiate the males of the females for whom the males are much bigger and fat.
A curious information is that one was confusing them with the porks introduced by the settlers or with jabalíes but it is easy to distinguish them since they do not have thick, long fangs and ravens if not small and straight.
 :D Are nice not?
